No. We compute an acoustic fingerprint — a compact numeric signature a few hundred bytes long — and store that, not your audio. It's enough to recognise a track, but you can't reconstruct the audio from it.

After that, any audio you run through /check is scored against your own catalog and a shared corpus we maintain — you get a similarity score and coverage instantly. We surface the match; what it means (theft, a re-master, a false alarm) is your call.
