Content authenticity for audio

Know the moment your audio gets copied.

AuthentiCast fingerprints your podcasts, audiobooks, and audio drama — then tells you when a track resurfaces on the open web, on known piracy sites, or re-uploaded under a new name. Think Copyscape, for audio.

How it works

Three moving parts, one answer.

Fingerprint once, check forever. Every check runs against your own catalog and a corpus we maintain for you.

01 · Ingest

Fingerprint your catalog

Send us your audio (or just a URL). We compute an acoustic fingerprint — a few hundred bytes, not the file — and store it under your own reference id.

02 · Check

Match against everything

Any new audio is scored against your catalog and a shared corpus we crawl from legitimate hosts and known piracy sites. You get similarity + coverage, instantly.

03 · Decide

You own the verdict

We surface the match and the score — nothing more. What counts as theft, a re-master, or a false alarm is your call, in your code. No black box.

What you get

Built to catch what one platform can't.

The moat isn't any single match — it's the maintained index of what's already out there.

Acoustic fingerprint engine

Chromaprint-compatible fingerprints that survive re-encoding, trimming, and volume changes — catching copies a filename search never would.

Shared open-web corpus

We continuously crawl legitimate podcast hosts and archives so every customer benefits from one well-kept index of what's public.

Piracy-site sweep in review

The same pipeline pointed at known file-sharing and torrent-index sites. Undergoing legal review before we switch it on.

YouTube & TikTok repost watch

A title/creator search sweep that flags likely reposts of your published work — text-only, never touching platform media.

What does AuthentiCast actually do?

It fingerprints your audio — podcasts, audiobooks, audio drama — and tells you when a track resurfaces elsewhere: re-uploaded under a new name, pirated, or reposted. Think Copyscape, but for audio.

Do you store my audio files?

No. We compute an acoustic fingerprint — a compact numeric signature a few hundred bytes long — and store that, not your audio. It's enough to recognise a track, but you can't reconstruct the audio from it.

How does a check work?

You ingest your catalog once (send audio or just a URL). After that, any audio you run through /check is scored against your own catalog and a shared corpus we maintain — you get a similarity score and coverage instantly. We surface the match; what it means (theft, a re-master, a false alarm) is your call.

Where do you check against?

A shared corpus we continuously crawl from legitimate podcast/audiobook hosts (RSS, Archive.org, indie sites) and known piracy/file-sharing sites — every customer benefits from the same well-kept index. Plus a YouTube/TikTok title-search sweep for reposts of your published work.

Do you download videos from YouTube or TikTok?

Never. That sweep searches public titles, handles and URLs only — text, not media. We don't download or fingerprint anything from those platforms.

What does it cost?

There's a free plan (200 checks/mo). Beyond that: pay-as-you-go at $4 per 1,000 checks (prepaid credits, no subscription, they don't expire), or monthly plans from $10. Subscription overage is $1 per 1,000 checks. See pricing for the full breakdown.

Can I use it through an API?

Yes — two calls, /ingest and /check, with your own API key. Most people wire it into their upload flow in an afternoon.

Podcasts, audiobooks, audio drama — all supported?

All of them, treated identically. Nothing in the engine favours one format.
