Terms of Service
Last updated July 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of AuthentiCast. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read Sections 5 and 6 carefully — they explain what our detection does and does not mean.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using AuthentiCast ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you're using AuthentiCast on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you're authorized to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. AuthentiCast is a professional tool intended for creators, publishers, and businesses.
3. Accounts & API keys
You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your password and API keys secret, and for all activity under your account. API keys are shown once when created — store them securely. Tell us promptly at info@authenticast.org if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. The Service
AuthentiCast computes acoustic fingerprints of audio you submit and compares them against a shared corpus (built from crawled legitimate hosts and known piracy sources) and against your own catalog, and runs a text-only YouTube/TikTok title sweep for content sources you configure. When it finds a possible match, it records it and can notify you. That's the whole service — a detection and awareness tool.
5. What detection means — and what it doesn't
A match found by AuthentiCast is a signal for you to review, not a legal determination. It is not proof that infringement occurred, and it may be a false positive.
- Fingerprint and title matching are probabilistic. We do not guarantee that we will catch every copy of your work, or that every match is genuine.
- AuthentiCast does not make legal judgments, send takedown notices, or contact third parties on your behalf. Any action you take based on a match — a DMCA notice, a message to a platform, legal proceedings — is your decision and your responsibility.
- You are responsible for independently verifying a match before acting on it. AuthentiCast is not liable for actions you take (or don't take) based on results.
6. Your responsibilities & acceptable use
You may only submit audio and set up content sources for material you own or are otherwise authorized to protect. By using the Service you represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you fingerprint and monitor.
You agree not to:
- Use AuthentiCast to monitor, fingerprint, or surveil content you have no right to — for example to track someone else's catalog you don't own
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or build a competing corpus from the Service
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security controls, or abuse the API
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to infringe others' rights
7. Plans, billing & credits
- The Service offers a free tier, prepaid pay-as-you-go credits, and monthly subscription plans. Current pricing is shown on our site.
- Plans are hard-capped — when you reach your monthly included checks, checks pause until the next period or until you add credits. There are no surprise overage charges.
- Prepaid credits are purchased through Stripe and do not expire. Except where required by law, payments and credits are non-refundable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Intellectual property
You keep all rights to your audio and content. We claim no ownership of it. You grant AuthentiCast a limited license to process, fingerprint, store fingerprints of, and analyze the audio and content sources you submit, solely to provide the Service to you. The Service itself — our software, corpus, and brand — remains our property.
9. Suspension & termination
You can close your account at any time from the dashboard, which cancels any active subscription and stops all processing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or create legal or security risk. On termination your right to use the Service ends; the data-handling in our Privacy Policy applies.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will detect all unauthorized use of your content, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any match is accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AuthentiCast will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any action taken or not taken in reliance on a match. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AuthentiCast operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (AuthentiCast should confirm the specific governing-law jurisdiction and venue with counsel.)
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the dashboard. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
